The Thai publication said that reason for canceling the said plan was due to “various situations.”report did not explicitly state what these were, it did state that in May 2023, former prime minister Tun Mahathir Mohamad brought Malaysian investors to the Shanghai Auto Show to meet Geely and convince the automaker to invest in Malaysia instead.
