Gentari and BMW Group Malaysia have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding that revolves around green mobility services and solutions. While the announcement of the MoU did not involve any unveiling of new products or services, it did hint at the pathways that the new collaboration is going to take.
Among them is the deployment of electric vehicle charging infrastructure at various locations including BMW dealerships. Not only that, Gentari and BMW are also exploring the idea of establishing forecourts which are essentially similar in nature to traditional petrol stations but made exclusively for EVs.
Naturally, both companies are also looking into a variety of related services for BMW EV owners such as EV charging subscription plans, portable charging, and mobile charging. Through the MoU, the green energy subsidiary of Petronas together with the renowned German automaker will also be exploring EV fleet solutions and renewable energy infrastructure.
