The DILG has ordered the Bureau of Fire Protection and Manila government to investigate why several electric posts collapsed in Binondo earlier Thursday. | FArgosinoINQ

Abalos said they would provide “appropriate assistance to the affected individuals and help in clearing out the area.”

He likewise encouraged other local chief executives “to inspect electric posts, construction sites, billboards, and other similar installations” in their respective cities to avoid similar incidents from happening again during inclement weather. “A memorandum circular will be issued regarding the matter to ensure compliance and prompt action,” DILG said in a statement.
