Over 18,000 EVs have been registered since the start of the year, up 65 per cent on the same period in 2022

A record-breaking number of electric vehicles were registered last month, according to the society of the Irish motor industry .

Over 27,000 new cars registered were registered in July, according to the group, marking an increase of 23.9 per cent year-on-year and bringing the total numbers of vehicles registered this to 87,115 - up one fifth on the same time in 2022.
