The Benguet Electric Cooperative (Beneco) has reported P8.7 million in damage to facilities from typhoon “Egay” that battered service areas on Tuesday, July 25.

Power has been restored to 190 out of the 269 barangays here and Benguet. Only the towns of Bakun and Kibungan remain without power.Beneco linemen are hard at work in the remaining barangays without power – Barangay Country Club Village, Atok Trail, and Kias.

The electric cooperative said it is taking advantage of the good weather to rebuild damaged distribution structures and fully restore power in all service areas next week before tropical cyclone “Falcon” arrives.
