The cost-of-living crisis is set to worsen for households, as energy, TV and broadband, bin collections and health insurance increases begin to take effect

July will see six separate financial changes in the State, with the remaining €100 cost-of-living bonus set to be paid out in under eight weeks.

For children between 4 to 11 years, the amount paid out will be €260 and for those between 12 to 22, it will be €385. Increase in toll charges throughout country The Department of Transport and Transport Infrastructure Ireland began increasing tolls on July 1, due to "inflation hikes."Dublin Port Tunnel will not see any increase.Cars with video accounts will see a 20c hike, €2.70 to €2.90.On the M1, M7, M8, N6, N25 at Waterford and N18 Limerick Tunnel, tolls for cars will increase from €2 to €2.10. The M3 car tolls will rise 10c to €1.60.

Electricity and gas Hundreds of thousands of people that had discounts for their electricity and gas between June and September 2022, are no longer receiving their discounted unit prices, due to the expiration of the deal.
