Over 14,000 new electric cars have been registered, according to data from a motor industry body

New car registrations for the month of June were up 39 per cent to 2,994 compared to June 2022, according to figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry .

Overall registrations year to date are up 18.8 per cent on the same period last year, now standing at 77,488. Light commercial vehicles are up 72.54 per cent compared to June last year and 33.3 per cent from the beginning of 2023.
