"This is particularly important during this time of volatile energy prices when many households are struggling with their bills."£2.7million to thousands of customers who were overchargedGood Energy was found to have overcharged nearly 7,000 customers a total of £391,650 between January 2019 and October 2022.Meanwhile, almost 11,000 OVO Energy customers were overcharged £1,492,917 between October 2022 and March 2023.

Good Energy customers will receive £109 on average while OVO customers will get an average of £181.pay out a total of £8million for delaying or failing to make compensation payments owed to customersThis was off the back of new rules which meant that customers are now entitled to compensation if their final bill is not produced within six weeks when leaving their current supplier.Almost 95,000 E.On Next customers have been paid a total of £5.5million between them.
