It’s a fact that the Earth is due another ice age and if we followed the previous pattern it would have happened already. It is also a fact that boiling water freezes faster than cold water, so warmer oceans will freeze quicker. Could short term warming be a sign of an ice age?
The climate changes - it's been doing it for billions of years, long before humans came on the scene. We need to get over ourselves, we don't influence it and we can't change it.

As we are in an interglacial period and the next ice age is overdue (there have been ten ice ages over the last one million years) this type of weather is much more likely than global warming.

Jet streams slowing down to a wave like direction in upper atmosphere. This drags cold air from the poles towards the equator then hot air up towards the poles. You can see it looking at global weather.
