The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will construct rainwater collector system (RWCS) in public facilities to mitigate the effects of climate change. ManilaBulletin

DPWH Sec. Manuel M. Bonoan directed the agency’s regional and district engineering offices to prepare the list of areas that need to be provided with RWCS.

“A total amount of P582.9 million has been allocated this year for the construction of RWCS nationwide which is included in the agency’s INFRAgenda 2028 or the Performance Governance System Strategic Plan for 2023-2028 that aims to deliver three outputs including the protection of lives and properties from natural disasters,” the DPWH noted.
