Private utility lines, not PG&E, caused massive wine country fire that killed 22 peopleInvestigators say private utility lines, not ones owned by Pacific Gas and Electric, started the 2017 fire that killed 22 and burned thousands of homes. joelrubin I'm thinking they don't have enough liability insurance to cover this, either. The charge that “other utilities” caused wildfires remains to be proven by objective investigation and our courts. PG&E is on the hot seat and it is in their interest to defect that responsibility.
