At the beginning of April new prices and tariffs were announced by the energy providers across Northern Ireland.

There are some suppilers who offer 12 month discounts for switching to their accounts, with rates increasing after this time. SSE Airtricity Cheapest direct debit: 12 Months fixed term discount of 17% onSSE Airtricity standard unit rate - 31.220p per unit - Annual cost using 3,200 units: £999 Most expensive direct debit: Bill Pay 28.5%Discount - 27.556p per unit with daily standing charge of 14.553p - Annual cost using 3,200 units: £935

Keypad pay as you go: 34.243p per unit with a daily standing charge of 12.363p - Annual cost using 3,200 units: £1,141 Any payment method on receipt of bill: 15.274p per unit for first 2,000kWh - 9.604p per unit after 2,000kWh - Annual cost using 12,000kWh: £1,266
