Tornadoes. Hurricanes. Droughts. Wildfires. Blizzards. Atmospheric rivers. And the dreaded polar vortex. Blame geography for the U.S. getting hit by stronger, costlier, more varied and frequent extreme weather than anywhere on the planet, experts say.
