is getting ready to expand its range with the addition of the #3 which appeared in a number of teaser sketches prior to its official debut that is scheduled for the Shanghai Auto Show in April. The Smart #3 is described as the coupe-SUV version of the #1 and will be offered in China, and Europe alongside its sibling.
While we have already seen photos of the actual production vehicle since November 2022, thanks to China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, this is the first official teaser. According to the company, the Smart #3 adopts an “even sportier interpretation of the brand’s visual identity” than, again penned by the Mercedes-Benz global design team. This is evident from the official sketches, showing a familiar face and muscular bodywork combined with a sportier roofline and a more heavily tapered rear end for a typical coupe-SUV stance.
