Microsoft, Amazon, Google and other data centre operators have built up enough on-site capacity to meet the energy needs of the entire country, a Business Post analysis has shown.

A number of Big Tech companies are currently seeking special industrial emissions licences from the Environmental Protection Agency that will allow them to use their own diesel or gas-powered generators if they have to come off the national grid in periods of tight power supply.
