The Department of Energy assured the public that there would be no power outages in the summer months because the supply of electricity is sufficient despite the expected leaner reserves. /PDI

“For now, we’re not saying that we already have a lack of electricity [supply] and that we’ll be having what we call rotational brownouts or outages,” DOE Assistant Secretary Mario Marasigan said during the Laging Handa public briefing.
