In addition to prepayment help, the government is expected to extend the Energy Price Guarantee at current levels for a further three months. Typical household energy bills were going to rise to £3,000 a year from April, the government is expected to retain its current level of support with the cap at £2,500.

This admits the wrong doing in charging more for being on a PPM. But £45 😠 a year! What about all those years of paying more when the reason for being on a pre pay tariff was because you got into a situation where you struggled to pay in the first place!
Scrap the daily fee for pre-pay meters too. That would go a long way to help people.

It's not much but if it deters British Gas from burglarizing homes to install them, it's a good idea. However, as PPM customers pay up front, it should be cheaper than someone who pays in arrears by DD as I do; it's not the same.

Should make the energy companies make a standard one-off payment to all pre-payment customers for overcharging them for decades. These customers deserved their money back.

Prepayment meters directly affect the most vulnerable in our society. If you are poor, they turn of your energy when the credit runs out regardless of your situation regarding health, small children, elderly. This isn’t right given the cost of living crisis never mind at all
