The Senate is divided on the charter change (cha-cha), and debating the proposal would be “wasting a lot of energy and funding,” said Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri. | JMangaluzINQ

According to Zubiri, the time potentially spent in-fighting over Cha-cha could instead be spent to pass laws that will help the country.“Bakit pa natin gagawin? We are wasting a lot of time and effort, we are wasting a lot of energy and funding discussing a measure na wala naman tayong boto. Kaya sabi ko, it’s not a priority at this point in time,” said Zubiri.

Zubiri insisted that taking the time to go over Cha-cha is vital because once it is passed, legislators would no longer be able to intervene in any way. Should the constitutional convention pass, the delegates could also touch political provisions. “Kung gusto nilang repasuhin from Article One to the last article of the constitution, pwede po nilang gawin yan, pati political provisions. Walang titigil sa kanila, walang makatigil sa kanila, kung yan ang gusto nilang gawin. Yun ang danger talaga,” said Zubiri. He also said that the current constitution is effective.

JMangaluzINQ What we need is a new ComElect without their Cheating Machines...

JMangaluzINQ Senate will be dissolved by cha-cha. That's the only reason. Don't believe the altruistic alibis.

JMangaluzINQ Si Robin Padilla ang may gusto...wag na ChaCha...TangGo na lang...sa mga TANGa at gaGo...

JMangaluzINQ Critics of Cha-cha claim that it is a waste of time and resources, but in reality, it is a necessary step towards addressing our country's pressing issues and promoting long-term economic, societal, and political efficiency.

JMangaluzINQ Having this kind of people in the Senate is the very epitome of “wasting a lot of energy and funding,” Cha-Cha is a necessary step in addressing our country's pressing issues and solving our long time economic, societal, and political woes.

JMangaluzINQ The Senate's debate is pushing boundaries, but be careful not to overdo it. Remember Bato's concussion from the 'two-letter word' game at the Christmas party?

JMangaluzINQ Daming problema unahin nyo pa cha cha. Wag lagi sarili ang isipin minsan din taong bayan naman.

JMangaluzINQ Asaan na ang sabi ni Unggoy na pag manalo manok nya magkaisa na tayo?

JMangaluzINQ So do not do cha-cha, allocate funds where it matters

JMangaluzINQ Koko Pimentel, Risa Hontiveros, Pia Cayetano, Grace Poe and Nancy Binay pa lang alam ko e. pro cha-cha si Koko pero ayaw niya nung proposed cha-cha ng House lol. yung pro cha-cha ay si Bong Go, Robin, Gatchalian, Bato Dela Rosa at Tolentino.
