Perak’s refusal to supply water to Penang will be studied in detail, says PM FMTNews

Penang chief minister Chow Kon Yeow and state officials surveying the Sungai Dua water treatment plant after it was inundated with muddy water as a result of the Baling floods last year. Penang is looking to Perak to ensure water security.

Any decision by Perak, including wanting to prioritise the state’s needs first before supplying water to Penang, is a policy that needs to be respected, he added .“We will see if there really is a large surplus, the projection, as well as the needs for the next five or 10 years. All of that will be studied scientifically.

Themed “Accelerating Change”, the event was also attended by natural resources, environment and climate change minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad. On Dec 1 last year, Perak menteri besar Saarani Mohamad said the state would not supply water to Penang even though the state government now comprised of Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Harapan representatives.

Can anyone confirm whether we're still suppying/selling raw water to Singapore?

Looking for alternative supply like reclaim water from sewerage flow for factory use, invest in two pipes system. Also look at distillation of sea water. Don't be stingy because water is am essential to human live.
