Well yeah why not if they want cheaper green power

What?! The government is spending people's tax money on utilities and services? Whatever next! Also, why are you not as vocal when they use taxpayers' money to subsidies the billionaires who run the coal industry? You're not hypocrites are you?!

Right, but who else would?

Like we paid for power stations and other infrastructure before govts started selling public assets off to mates to pay for tax cuts they gave to the same mates.

RobodebtRC LNPCorruptionParty LNPNeverAgain

The word you're looking for is investment.

newsflash: taxpayers foot the bill for everything that is the way society works der.

Good..

These things are the biggest boondagel on the planet. Toxic

Murdoch media trying and failing to get outrage over this 😂😂

11 billion for fossil fuel companies, no problem

You think the money could be pulled out of the arse of Sky Media?

You mean like the Victorian tax payers funded all the coal and gas fired power stations when they were govt owned, then later govts sold them all to private operators. The same private operators that are now shutting them down.

Why not just allow residents, businesses to put solar on their roof tops, and give them the same tariffs as they are charged, ah but the idea is control by state, which you can’t do if the individual has power

Do you mean 'invest in'?

Of course we will. The government hate us no doubt about it.

If he feels so strongly, Rupert could always give back the billion or so we gave him in direct payments and tax credits.

Proud to do so.

Finally we'll get a better investment than fossil fuel tech

The cost of building and instaing 20offshore windmills = 1 modular nuclear-power with 1.5 times output. The cost of maintaining the windmills for 20 years = ×5 the operation cost of modular nuclear-power.

All taxpayers pay for the subsidies for a non economic wind and solar ideology.

Reckon 'invest' is the word you're looking for.

Are you bottom feeders worried there may be a bit less tax payers money being available for the tax thieves in the fossil fuel industry?🪳🪳🪳🪳

Government must charge the companies and recover the cost with minor interest

Victoria taxpayers will own them

better then my taxes going towards coal mines..

Sky lie 🤮

100 billion in debt already with a lazy $400M in interest every year....why not throw more on the pile? We're all f******* in Victoria anyway.

So what’s wrong with that?

Victorian power users get better cost effective power.

Of course

Whale and seabird impact studies done yet ?

And they will benefit from it

Get the bird coffins ready. Oh wait, they just fall in the water.

Where's the greenies as the mob they support sign the death-knell for marine, avian and aquatic ecology. I thought the left always argued to follow science.

Bahahaha who said free energy was free.

Imagine if the hierarchy at VictoriaPolice wasn't corrupted and the detectives were able to pursue the 16 sitting MPs over the red shirt scandal. Victoria would be a better place.

Better than hill song

Just. a waste , ruining our land and sea, its criminal

But OK with coal mines?

And fossil fuel is free is it? Vote1Labor

Of course they will. You don't think the ALP & The Greens will fund it out of their own pocket, do you? Their job is to tell everyone else what they'll be paying for - that's what being in Politics is all about

Vic government spending tax payer money like 👇🏼

This kills marine life.

I expecting major rolling blackouts to become the norm. The outcome of climate extremism.

ACT residents are paying $1,200 less than NSW residents due to their gov investment in renewable projects.

They’ll pay three times … first time to build them. Second time in their power bills. And the third time when the maintenance costs become too much and they dismantle them. A hazard to navigation will be their legacy.

Of course they will. Renewables can't survive without subsidies.

good it's a more productive use of funds than subsidising coal and gas

At the end of the day someone has to pay for it, whether it be through taxes of energy costs. What's needed is to make sure however is constructing these things does so efficiently and cost effectively.

Won't affect you flogs at newscorpaus - you never pay any tax.

You mean just like we all foot the bill for all the fossil fuel subsidies? Was this written by ChatGPT?

Don’t even need a crystal ball to see how this is going to turn out for the Tax payer. Politician playing wannabe energy CEOs. They should probably leave it to the professionals. Go home government your DRUNK!

OF CAUSE WHO ELSE WOULD PAY FOR IT NOT CROOKED DAN

Is Sky seriously trying to rightsplain how state owned industry works? I bet they don't explain how exploitative privatisation 'works' or mention any benefit of cheap regulated energy for Vic homes, cars & business, in using today's technology to reclaim the benefits of the past?

Another waste of money on useless gimmicks

Green energy seems to be the exception to the rule if you start a business you use your own money or borrow from a bank they all seem to like using other peoples money and when something goes wrong they walk away with a pot of cash. Energy companies should pay for turbines

Whale killers. Where’s Greta?

You prefer when we foot the bill for fossil fuel company subsidies!!!! That costs us a whole lot more in the long run!

More dead whales? Good job

Good luck Vic.
