Dáil hears of two-month electricity bill of €957 for woman aged ‘over 100’A woman who is “over 100 years old” received an electricity bill for more than €957 for a 59-day period, a Sinn Féin TD has told the Dáil Well she’s probably in all day with the heating and telly on. It's an absolute disgrace that ordinary people are faced with these astronomical bills..... and this is just the electricity bill - add on food, increased mortgages, heating, insurance etc etc. I bet their previous bills were estimated and much lower then they should have been. But hard to expect from old people to be on top of all changes.
