The Department for Transport says further electric buses will be added to fleets in York and Leeds.

The buses will be supplied by manufacturer Wrightbus, which is already supplying 44 electric buses for York and 32 for Leeds

The Department for Transport said 34 electric buses will be delivered in Yorkshire in its latest funding round. The electric buses are being financed through the national Zero Emission Buses Regional Area scheme."We're providing an additional £7.6m to roll out 34 new electric buses to provide residents in Yorkshire with better, cleaner and quieter journeys, as we step up a gear to reach net zero faster and level up transport across the country," he said.44 electric buses for York and 32 for Leeds.
