LEGAZPI CITY: As a show of respect and to lessen the anguish of the families of the four passengers who died in a plane crash near the crater of Mayon Volcano, the Energy Development Corporation (EDC) asked the public not to share images of the accident and its passengers on social media.

In a statement released by EDC corporate affairs on Friday, the management appealed for compassion from the government and the public.

'We express our deepest gratitude to all the government and civilian volunteer search and rescue teams and special forces teams that have tirelessly helped worked in the search, rescue, and retrieval of our four dear kapamilya Captain Rufino James Crisostomo Jr., Joel G. Martin, Simon Chipperfield, and Karthi Santhanam and our PR-C2080 aircraft since they were reported missing last Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023.
