NSW Opposition Leader Chris Minns says the New South Wales Labor energy plan will take “six to seven years” to bring down power prices.

“I’m going to be honest with the people of NSW and say that the benefits of this policy will be felt six and seven years down the line,” Mr Minns told Sky News Australia.

“To make sure you’ve got … power particularly in relation to pumped hydro those projects take a lot of time. “So a government that’s looking down the runway and saying we don’t want to repeat, of the problems that were facing right now in five to seven years’ time is exactly what you’ll get from NSW Labor”.

He is hoping that all Australian small businesses will be closed down by then and the people will become boiled like the frog.

Shutdown by NO BASE LOAD POWER and blow another 100 billions, let me guess the future down to 100% accuracy. Typical contracting rort for companies to continue the gravy train, then donate money for yet more of it.

AND THEN IT WILL BE TOO LATE ,

same as never really, bit like Bowen's plan

7years is a long time Just a white lie

we will be broke in 1 year can wait the other 6 mate.

That’s BS and they know it

Most Aust business has closed down, that's why Aust manufacturing is almost buried. Most inputs & products are imported & Aust is accruing massive debt, it's utterly appalling.

That's unacceptable. Prices need to be reduced now, to price level prior to Hawke's election. An increase in price of thousands of percentage points & then decrease in price of a few percentage points ... is completely unacceptable. Aust businesses are already closing down.

So never

And send the budget into more trillions of debt

He didn’t mean to put prices at the end of that speech.

How to lose an election!

🤣🤣

Lie lie lies. It will increase significantly in the short-term, then 7 years roll around and a new paln will come to decrease prices over 7 years but increase in the short term. What a load of crap

Put the politicians on a cashless card with minimal wage where they sign in and out of work and we'll see that 6-7years turn into 1year

Not if you fire up the coal mines at a time when the world needs it.

By which time all the current ALP hierarchy will have moved on to indebted Boards & Ambassadorships

Sorry Chris people who can't afford electricity now don't have 7 years. Time for plan B. How about you look into efficient low emission nuclear power

Get ready Credlin

Not good enough.. We have issues now.

Those bills will have been calculated in inflation adjusted 2030 dollars when people will be selling organs to keep the lights on … and cost more than five nuclear power plants.

What do you want him to say, lie, and then throw cash at the problem - just like Matt Kean is with his $250 bribe?

...but Albo promised 275 dollars better off under his government by 2025...so he's lying?....

hahahahahahaha! How about 60 to 70 years? That's how long all those 'developing' nations have been waiting for socialism to bring prosperity. nswpol Africans socialism VoteNo to all.

Bs

To be fair it's more honest than Federal Labor's $275 bs.

Going up a lot then down a bit from there counts as bringing down?

For which, read: “It might as well be forever, because it will be well beyond my time in government. The Second Coming could well arrive sooner!”

Stop the rubbish , Bowen cant solar panels , Hydro in a mess again , billions being wasted on pie in the sky renewables

Minns is following Albo's lead, just say stuff to get elected. We don't need another fraud.

Analysis: Chris Minns sits down with Sky News Australia for wide-ranging interviewSky News host Laura Jayes says a 'major electoral battleground' has surfaced ahead of the NSW state election as she analysed all the critical moments from her wide-ranging interview with Opposition Leader Chris Minns. In the interview, Mr Minns discussed his plans for teachers and schools, aspects relating to privatisation, affordable housing, infrastructure, and energy. 'Despite sharing many personal similarities with Dominic Perrottet – in age, family – they have radically different policy platforms,' Ms Jayes said. 'Nowhere is that clearer than on energy – and more broadly, the raging debate over the merits of privatisation versus public ownership of assets.' “Nowhere is that clearer than on energy – and more broadly, the raging debate over the merits of privatisation versus public ownership of assets.” Murdoch's and Liberal's trigger word there. 'privatisation' They are furiously banging out emails to TheIPA for help right now. The media isn't talking about that if all the states are run by Labor government THE GST WILL GO UP?
