The Energy Regulatory Commission has extended the suspension of the collection of the “feed-in tariff allowance” to bring down the cost of electricity.

MANILA Philippines —The Energy Regulatory Commission has extended the suspension of the collection of the “feed-in tariff allowance” to bring down the cost of electricity.

The collection of FIT-ALL, a tariff imposed on electricity grids and added to consumers’ electric bill, will be deferred for another six months from March 2023 until August 2023, the ERC said in a statement on Thursday.The ERC said it re-evaluated its FIT-ALL fund balance and found that it will suffice to cover for the said period.FEATURED STORIES
