Port Macquarie local Steve Lyons has been campaigning to legalise the use of electric skateboards as mobility aids for people living with disability, and the NSW government has responded.

"Every time I took the skateboard out to go on a footpath or a shopping centre I was technically breaking the law," he said.Prior to the reform, electric skateboards were not allowed on all public roads and paths.

Over regulated another example....what about allowing people to use common sense ffs....three doesn't need to be a fn regulation for every conceivable thing!!

Good on Steve, in saying that the cops were obviously happy to look the other way for 3 years, so at least they used some common sense. I'm surprised the anti police brigade didn't have a go at the cops for not doing their job. 😜
