This is the third model from Chinese group Human Horizons’ HiPhi brand and while details about it are limited, there’s no denying that it looks somewhat conventional compared to the brand’s other two models.
The carmaker first burst onto the scene in mid-2019 with the unveiling of the HiPhi X. It takes the form of a six-seat, electric SUV with a design so radical that it looks more like a spaceship than a vehicle you can actually buy and drive on the road. Not long after it launched, Human HorizonsNow, images have surfaced online thanks to China’s MIIT, which show the brand’s next model. It is expected to be dubbed HiPhi Y and like the X, takes the form of an SUV.
According to the spec sheet, the vehicle is 4,938 mm long, 1,958 mm wide, and stands 1,658 mm tall while supporting a 2,950 mm wheelbase. The shape of the new model is less radical than the X and Z, although the front end still makes quite an impression thanks to the LED light bar, faux air intakes that house hundreds of little LEDs, and a large lower grille.
