PLUS and TNB will jointly install the EV charging stations PLUSMalaysiaBhd TNB TechNave

According to Bernama, PLUS Malaysia Bhd and TNB said that the TNB electron charging facility was now available in 3 Rest and Recreation areas. These include Ayer Keroh , Tapah along the North-South Expressway and Paka on the East Coast Expressway 2 .

Currently, 6 more TNB Electron charging facilities were being built which are expected to be completed this year. These include Machap R&R , Rawang , Gunung Semanggol , Gurun and Paka . It is estimated that the use of electricity at the nine TNB Electrons which is estimated at 99,000 kWh in 2023 will avoid the emission of 7.2 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide. This is equivalent to the capture of greenhouse gases by 3.43 hectares of forest per year.

As of 20 January 2023, a total of 20 fast-charging facilities have been operating along the PLUS Highway. PLUS and TNB stressed that it will continue discussions related to low carbon mobility and improving energy efficiency by optimising electrical costs apart from supporting green energy.
