Electric car sales in Ireland have surged in the last year.

January set a new record for electric vehicle sales with 3,682 such vehicles registered, a new report has found.

This was up 36.5 per cent compared to January 2022, according to data from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry . EVs now account for 13.5 per cent of the market.
