Natural gas price on the spot market has dropped 70% since August 2022. Currently at the lowest price since June, 2021. This has nothing to do with there being high wholesale natural gas prices in the marketplace.
So if all the fossil fuels we burn. Natural gas is the cleanest one to burn. So electric more then likely would be coal. If you want a clean environment build nuclear plants and use natural gas. Even though climate change has been proven wrong at every turn
