A team inside the Presidency has been tasked with calling ministers and officials to tell them to sign key approvals and exemptions. This comes as the energy crisis deepens, with Stage 6 load shedding confirmed twice in one month.

Officials in the Presidency are calling ministers and officials every day to remind them to sign key approvals and exemptions as a new urgency to give Eskom"all the help it needs" sets in amid a deepening energy crisis.

During a briefing on Tuesday, Rudi Dicks, head of the project management office in President Cyril Ramaphosa's private office, explained the National Energy Crisis Committee’s efforts to help Eskom and the country break through the regulatory tangle that has prevented key interventions. Isn't this team a cluster in the Presidency former Trade unionists who have never run even spaza shops, they have little idea. Their task was to evaluate performance of govt and impose remedies to improve efficiency, that was set up more than 5 years ago. What a joke

They have a team to call ministers? Handy.

This doesn't sound dodgy at all.

Nothing like a looming election to get the ruling party into action.
