The owners of a corner shop that went viral on TikTok are heading to Preston as part of their 'meet and greet' tour.
Azar and Abdul from Wakey Wines, in Wakefield, shot to online fame when comical videos of them selling Prime drinks for as much as £100 a bottle were viewed millions of times. Azar Nazir is the face of the infamous clips while his collage Abdul is the man behind the camera and the duo will be appearing at the Prime Party at Switch in Preston on Wednesday, February 22.
The club night will feature bingo, Prime drink giveaways and the chance to meet and have a selfie with the social media influencers. Prime is an energy drink marketed by YouTubers KSI and Logan Paul and is hugely popular among UK teens.Anticipation for its launched was high and when bottles first hit the shop shelves, queues and crowds scrambled to buy it, with some stores having to restrict the amount customers could buy, due to the extreme demand.
There's a variety of different flavours, including blue raspberry, grape and lemon lime. It has been selling for 10 times or more of the recommended retail price, which is £2 . Switch host regular 'Social Wednesday' events, featuring special guest and celebrity appearances and themed nights and is popular with UClan students.
Tickets to the event, which is strictly for over 18s only and is expected to sell out, are available now, with prices ranging from £3 to £5. Last entry is 2am.
