Gas is better to cook with. Let me guess, the Government wants all the gas for generators because the solar panels and wind don't provide round the clock energy. Go nuclear and leave the gas for cooking and heating.

Should be an abundance of this resource in Australia. It should be dirt cheap to power homes and industry until renewables are in a position to replace gas. Both industry and political mismanagement has landed us here and there is no silver bullet that fixes this now. Total FU!
