Texas middle-schoolers tackle global warming at the Future City Competition

So, we built a dome so they are able to continue living their lives.

Judges at The Houston Future City Competition examines The Circle School’s model city, Sukkur in Houston, Texas on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023.The competition forces middle school students to mix creativity with basic engineering principles, as they were tasked with creating their city with recycled materials and a total supply cost under $100.

The top five teams will advance to the final round, and a first-place winner will represent the region at the national championships in February.
