Last year saw the highest number of new electric car models launched to the local market yet.
According to data from the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa, the year also saw sales of new EV cars surge. At the time of publication, at least nine more EV models were confirmed or likely to make their way to South African showrooms in 2023. The Porsche/Beetle-looking hatchback is expected to retail in South Africa for around R600,000, based on its UK pricing, which would make it the most affordable fully-electric model in the country.
Are they Right Hand Drive?
and we charge these how?
Come on people. You manage to keep your phones charged. And petrol pumps also need electricity. I think having a giant battery on wheels is a good idea. They just need to come with vehicle-to-load/home functionality. 🔌⚡️🔋🚘
We don’t have electricity
Good luck charging one Loadshedding
First thought....how the hell will we charge them? Most of us will be walking to work. For me, that will be 82 km's a day.
😂😂😂
They will stay in the garage😂😂
But remember to buy a generator to charge it.
Electrical vehicles in a country without stable electricity supply You got to be joking!!
Hmmm load shitting gaan hulle fuel, lol
What form of ESKOM is going to power these things ? The sheet thought alone ?
Do they come with solar panels?🥴
Lol electric cars in sa with the amount of load shedding we get? It's a bad mix
So how do they prepose we charge these things? with our PETROL OR DIESEL generators
What about elonmusk 's Tesla that is the biggest EV carmaker in the world, will we see some of it here in South Africa?
