Deloitte is reducing temperatures in its UK offices in a bid to cut costs and carbon emissions.
The consultancy and accountancy firm informed staff of the plans this month, which are expected to result in savings of about £75,000 for December.Deloitte told its 23,000 UK staff that its offices would now be heated to between 19 and 22C as part of new energy-saving plans. The company has offices in locations including London, Cambridge, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Newcastle, Reading, Bristol, Cardiff, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Belfast.
Many multinational companies have faced pressure to do more to curb their carbon emissions after making high-profile pledges, particularly in the wake of the Paris Agreement on climate change.

Happy days, hope all offices drop it. Nothing worse than coming in the office with a coat, only to find it’s a tropical 25 degrees inside and I get sweat patches before I even sit down 😂
Why don't they just bring in braziers where they can burn £20 notes to heat the offices then write it off as a tax deduction,

Well done Deloitte. We recently cut temperatures in the hospital I work in to help achieve our net zero goal. A few staff & some elderly patients complained about being cold, but we're working hard to educate them on the importance of the NHS reaching bet zero.
Employees will freeze their asses off. Productivity will plummet.
