The world’s top seller of EVs hasn’t followed through on a 16-year-old goal of making them widely affordable and the Cybertruck, its next model, will be Tesla’s most resource-intensive.

. Musk claimed Cybertruck’s base price would be $39,900 though none of the company’s models has ever sold at the low end of his predictions. With features Tesla encourages customers to add, including Autopilot and Full-Self Driving, the actual price with taxes may approach $100,000 for the heavy truck.

As the once disruptive company matures, Musk is focusing on boosting sales of high-priced, high-margin vehicles, touting speed and power far more than sustainability. No automaker has played a bigger role than Tesla in popularizing EVs and getting car buyers excited about them since it released the $100,000 Roadster in 2008. It’s become the world’s pre-eminent seller of such vehicles, posting consistent profits in recent years after a decade of losses and is on track to deliver well more than a million EVs in 2022.

Forbes = anti elonmusk

This article is quite the hack job. Lots of twisted info to make a weak stab elonmusk. Lithium, cobalt, nickle quote is inaccurate and misleading at best and the Model 3 was omitted as it would have countered the cost narrative. Overall, this article is an objectivity fail.

$10,000 for this article? elonmusk

Wow, the image selection... -ONE.💯😂😂😂

A beautiful portrait, surely the photographer was a descendant of prophets.

But, but he was your golden boy!!!! What happened? Did he uncover your conspiracy to defraud the world, so now you attack. Absolutely pitiful, no wonder you are not trusted.

Classic BS

Musk hit piece 114 but nothing on the Twitter Files? ....and the dangers of government agencies using private companies as proxies to suppress legal speech?

LMAO so this one vehicle complicates climate goals by using so much energy and resources but not trying to make everyone in the world drive an electric vehicle? Do you realize how contradicting and unintelligent you sound?
