These same customers have had to fork over $488 in higher natural gas rates and federal carbon tax in 2022. In a decision released last week, the OEB explains that lower natural gas prices are due to a warmer than normal early winter, an increase in North American production, a return to near-average storage inventories, and a decline in exports.
