Energy plan faces backlash in the Senate

The Greens and independent Senator David Pocock have announced they won’t support the government’s emergency energy legislation as they demand stronger action on climate change.

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson said she also won’t support the package claiming the measures won’t drive down power prices. The Albanese government is hoping to legislate the bill during a special sitting of parliament on Thursday.
