The claims in articles such as this become more outlandish with each one I read. 30000km per year! Average UK use is approx 7400miles which is 11840km. Just a tad short of the 30000km needed to make the costs equivalent.

Complete nonsense, I have both an EV and a petrol car the EV is massively cheaper to run. Plus EV’s are constantly getting cheaper.

really? try comparing an entire replacement petrol engine and gearbox against the cost of replacing ONLY the battery pack on electric cars. thats when you learn its all a scam and the point where most end up selling their electric car for pittance.

I assume you have based this article on roadside chargers and not home based? The numbers for Norway seem very wrong. Most people charge their vehicles at home and it’s usually for a fraction of the cost

Shocking.

Still lack overall performance over long distances and cold weather.

As a person with an EV, I want to get rid of it like yesterday. They have to do way better.

Only the cost of purchase. The costs of EVs to climate change will be factored in whether economists can calculate them or not. See: 2nd Law.

Really? I'm shocked {sarcasm}

That's a surprise 😎

There is more than the purchase price to consider. Like how long you want to wait recharging your vehicle on a drive over 300+ miles. 🤪
