While about 60% of the country’s energy supply relies on the use of hydroelectric power, Swiss government officials have drafted emergency plans to conserve energy that include the limiting of electric vehicle use, according to the Telegraph. Switzerland is also reportedly prepared to limit its country’s heating temperatures to a maximum of 68 degrees Fahrenheit initially, cut stores’ operating hours, and lower resolution for video streaming services in an effort to manage energy shortages and avoid a blackout.
Aside from Switzerland’s reliance on hydroelectric power, the country also uses nuclear power, fossil fuel plants, and solar or wind generation for energy.Switzerland’s emergency response would be rolled out in two tiers with individual restriction levels based on the level of energy supplies available.
The ultimate goal of the leftist movement is to ban private ownership of almost everything, especially private property.
