Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has “got the deal done” on energy as Parliament is set to return on Thursday to put the gas price cap and compensation package through.

“But the sting in the tail is the vast majority of Australians will still see

their power bills rise significantly this year – just by not as much as feared,” he said.

They’ve got Nothing Done and Stuffed Australia up Completely! Be honest!

Thats not a deal. Thats crap. Have you no idea too, sky news

this shows you how much the worlds biggest investment group thinks of net zero and alternative energy

there is no energy without tax payers propping it up... Wind and Solar are just the worlds worst dole bludgers...and we know how much the ALP loves dole bludgers and anyone dependent on their ' generosity ' Every politician in this country is living on OPM... just remember that !

Again make them pay solar feed in as the rate they charge us. If we can’t get anyone useless in government I’ll happily fix this Fn country as the PM! Useless.

The states want the money so ambo is as useless as scomo.

What deal? CluelessAlbo elected on promise he’d give households $275 to help with huge increase power prices Now households will be compensated with $230 That’s $45 less than promised With power prices to rise by 50% the $230 will be insignificant auspol

Hmmm, so Elbow did what he was told and capped Coal and Gas prices….so he limited free market action that has ramifications for export revenue, and by coincidence helped out the CCP……🤔

All Each way Albo has done is bury the Australian people in more debt.

The grown ups are back in power. The days of rorts, lies and corruption are over.

Lmao

Be careful Albo. Sky News being even a touch conciliatory, may be like grandma opening the door, to see Red Riding hood there. I’d check for a tail poking out…

Economics 101. Capped price means fall in production, higher prices for longer, the domestic market will struggle. First big blackout will be by mid-2024. PM, Treasurer & Energy Minister have never held a real job… union organiser, political staffer, MP. Ideology over reality.

UK did the capping in 2018 now the are paying the higher prices that end up dragging on into 2022 where people are expected to freeze through winter due to lighting or heating choice .

The torch has been passed from Alyssa Milano to Jennifer Lawrence😃

What a difference a real prime minister makes.

The energy cap around the world is as orchestrated as the covid response. Anyone would think they were all in it together.

Easy to do when the states are all part of the same party.

Albanese government takes ‘no backwards step’ when it comes to energyEnergy Minister Chris Bowen says the Albanese government “takes no backwards step” when it comes to acting on rising energy costs after price caps on energy resources were announced on Friday. “A new capacity investment scheme, which will unleash billions of dollars of stored, dispatchable renewable energy right across our country,” Mr Bowen told a press conference on Saturday. “We had 4 gigawatts of energy leave the grid under the Liberals, and only gigawatt come on, that’s a part of the reason why we face this energy crisis.” It’s called kicking the can down the road Liar, we do *not* import coal from Ukraine or Russia. Bowen is trashing *our* money for *his* idiology. That’s because nobody sleepwalks backwards.

Energy relief plan is going to be used as a ‘springboard’ by Albanese govt moving forwardSenior lecturer for politics at Monash University Dr Zareh Ghazarian says he suspects Labor’s energy relief plan is going to be used as a “springboard” by the Albanese government moving forward. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced a suite of measures to address rising power bills, which were agreed upon at National Cabinet, and parliament will be recalled to pass the legislation. “I suspect this is going to be used as a springboard by this government moving forward to demonstrate that they can actually tackle these sorts of pressures head-on,” Dr Ghazarian told Sky News Australia. What was the plan to reduce our power bill by $275 Suspects an achievement? We never did see Tony Abbott's promised $500 reduction. I suspected he was going to eat a raw onion.
