I bet it will be $275 so that Labor can say they kept their promise.

....thanks to the hardworking taxpayer.

No they won't will be took back in price hikes. Extra help which don't cover the higher price hikes on bills = no fucking help at all. Profiting from pain.

Discount payable by all taxpayers. Socialism is here.

Think this country would be better off if Bugs Bunny was at the helm rather than Elmer Fudd.

It’s like being beaten to a pulp by Mike Tyson and saying he won’t hit as hard in the 12th round.🤡🌎

So what part of the revenue stream will Albo raid or use some hair brained scheme to lower power bills or will he raise taxes? Whatever happens the taxpayer always foots the bill.

Paid for by...

I’ll bet self funded retirees get the usual, SFA.

Don't be fooled.

Communists pacifying the masses again.

It’s called buying votes

I hope it applies to everyone equally

But first ,they will go up by at least the amount of the discount. Then the Albanese government will give itself a pat on the back and tell us all how it is helping the Australian families cope with rising prices

Who pays again Is the ' discount' that money coming from the Australian taxpayer! Mmmmmm?

No. They just won’t, in the short term, go up by as much as they would have. We’re paying ourselves. Smoke and mirrors. They’ve got the fangirls out - read tingle’s joke of a column - and instead of discussing will just personally abuse critics. Hopeless clowns

Will we be more highly taxed by states now Labor has plundered their profit margins from coal and gas. Also companies have had profit margins trimmed in best socialist way. Not a victory Elmer just more pain for average citizen.

The government's excuse of global markets and the war in Ukraine is a load of shit.

Australia is ‘in a position’ to be a ‘renewable energy superpower’Assistant Trade and Manufacturing Minister Tim Ayres says Australia has “very significant energy reserves”. “We are the sunniest nation on earth with vast solar reserves and vast wind reserves as well,” he told Sky News Australia. “We are in a position – if we get the energy reforms right – to be a renewable energy superpower. “It means lower prices for households and business in Australia – making energy a competitive advantage – but also that we should be in a position to be exporting energy right around the world. “That’s the future for Australia.” But yet we are hell bent on staying in the dark ages and too scared to leave the cave . It's a big world outside of the cave, fear can cripple the same way hope is paralysing. Sticks and stones while the world has drones. My energy bill going up $20 since Labor were elected doesn't feel too super. 'So-and-so says...blah blah blah.'. Is this the standard template for a tweet?

Increased reliance on so called ' renewables' makes the system LESS reliable not more. Let's say a major thermal plant trips off the grid and the wind stubbornly refuses to blow, what then? Hang on, what about our power bills. When asked behind closed doors they all laughed .
