Since the first Starbucks in Buffalo voted yes, hundreds of stores have unionized. However, unionized stores still make up only 3% of all company-operated locations.

Workers at more than 330 Starbucks locations have held votes with the National Labor Relations Board , the federal agency responsible for enforcing U.S. labor laws, since last December.

Starbucks has not yet signed any collective bargaining agreement with Workers United. That's largely because the process to reach a first contract can take a long time. "While change is rarely easy, we are proud of our fierce commitment to be a partner-focused company that offers industry-leading compensation and benefit packages," said Starbucks spokeswoman Rachel Wall in an email to NPR.

But Workers United has criticized the company for intimidating workers and discouraging them from organizing unions., such as firings and shuttered stores, for their union involvement.

Starbucks cares about neither the customers nor their employees. They don’t even care about your health even though they sell “healthy meals” while selling overpriced coffee loaded with sugar. They are also killing the local coffee shops.

OK, but what percent of that 3% actually have a contract? Or even an agreement that is anywhere close to ready for a vote?

Just close all of them. They sell melted candy, not coffee 😆

And your cup of already expensive coffee just got more expensive while service and efficientcy will plummet.

Sounds like the real story here is that the world could use fewer Starbucks.

Be sure to report Starbucks locations shutting down at record speed.

All these years. Never been to one...

Bust the unions

Unionizing as a barista has to be the lowest from of work and unionization ever. Really? Next a union of snow shovelers? Nose Picking Union? Toilet paper restoration Union? Cockroach stepping Union.

It’s baffling to me how we understand our Armed Forces secure our freedoms - but can’t understand that we owe our 40-hr week, child labor laws, workplace safety, leave, pensions…all to unions fighting for them. Read history before slagging your benefactors.

Be careful of what you wish for...

Unionizing is simply giving your vote (and another bite of your earnings) away to a new set of Masters. Always has been. Vote on yourself, and for yourself. Learn higher-value skills and ditch the ditch.

But their coffee still sucks...

Hope Starbucks keeps closing them down too. All these “unionized” employees are actually unemployed

Soon, all the people trying to make a career out of a job meant for teenagers will rule the world!!!
