Senator Francis Tolentino expressed disagreement with Senator Risa Hontiveros' statement on terrorist groups' possible interest in nuclear wastes should the Philippines adopt this as energy source.

"Kung papanoorin ninyo itong labanan ng Ukraine-Russia medyo iniiwasan din nila 'yung mga nuclear plants. Minsan lang may mga threats pero wala pa naman tayo nabalitaan na pinasabog...So kahit saan may risk e ," he said.the push for the adoption of a nuclear program in the country, saying radioactive wastes will pose a long-term and difficult problem for Filipinos.

"Nahuli na nga tayo e. Magkasama kami ni Congressman Mark Cojuangco rito. Sinusuportahan ko rin 'yung mga initiative niya kasi ang mahal ng kuryente natin, 'di ba? Doon na napupunta lahat 'yung panggastos ng isang pamilya sa kuryente... so panahon na siguro na sumama na rin tayo sa ginagawa ng ibang bansa, mura ang kuryente," he said.

Di nga natin ma manage yun simple garbage waste sa lansangan natin, for sure we cannot manage nuclear waste. It is deadly. Progressive country are already facing the problem of nuclear waste disposal
