She grew up in India, came to the U.S. at age 20 with 200 bucks in her pocket and a “doing hard things in life mentality.” Now Sampriti Bhattacharyya is about to unveil the fruits of her hard work that could be a maritime game changer.

“Maritime presents a trillion dollar oppportunity where we are stuck with legacy ships and boats and fleets that are not efficient,” said Bhattacharyya. “What if you could build vessels that are like 80%-90%, like 10x more efficient than traditional boats. That entirely changed my mind that if you could move things on the water at the cost, scale, speed as on land-borne options then the waterways ...are no more of an obstacle than another highway.

The N30 can reach a top speed of 35 knots or about 40 miles per hour and has a range of 75 nautical miles—about 86 miles on a charge. Bhattacharyya explains the N30 was developed as a platform that can be customized for different purposes. She revealed Navier recently closed on a partnership with a company that will run N30s as water taxis in the Bay Area starting in February or March.

2023 Mini Cooper SE First Drive Review: An Electric HatchbackElectrification suits the Mini brand well and the SE is a decent offering, but it’ll need to make dedicated EVs in order for its vehicles to be truly competitive. Why not make the E-Mini look like a standard Mini - that daft bit of plastic where the grill would be could of been designed to mimic a grill, & the E-Mini Wheels look pathetic why not use standard Mini wheel This is a joke barely over 100 miles of range please scrap this thing now. Great car. It’s so fun as a daily driver. Range isn’t an issue for day-to-day situations, as long as you have a road trip option. 🚗💨 ⚡️
