A 40-year-old woman resorted to violence to prevent her teenage daughter from stepping out of the house frequently. She used a knife to stab her daughter’s thigh and hit her with a metal ladle, floorball sticks and an electric fan.
Following the attack, the 15-year-old was warded at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital from June 20 to July 1, 2022. The mother, who cannot be named due to a gag order protecting the victim’s identity, started scolding her daughter on June 20 as they were getting ready for bed. The victim went to her sister’s room for safety, but the mother discovered that the blood wasn’t cleaned up. She shouted at her daughter, who then went out to clean up the room. Still enraged, the mother used a metal ladle and repeatedly hit her daughter. When the weapon bent out of shape, she fixed the spoon and continued hitting the teen.Someone reported a commotion to the authorities, and police arrived at the flat at around 1:50 am.
