Ryan also said the updated Climate Action Plan will include Moneypoint power station switching from coal to oil

Image: PA MINISTER FOR THE Environment Eamon Ryan claimed the Government is “on track” to reach its target of having 950,000 electric vehicles by the end of the decade.

However, the Green Party leader said the plan to tackle climate change is not only about switching to electric vehicles but also encouraging the public to use public transport. The Government is expected to publish its revised Climate Action Plan, which will set out the roadmap on how it will cut emissions by 50% by the end of this decade.

“It will require consensus across the country to make decisions about reallocation of road space, so we get the buses through traffic quickly.“We cannot for the sake of gridlock or for the sake of climate allow that to happen.“We will make the political decisions to promote public transport, to make it safer to walk and cycle, to not just to meet those climate targets but to make the country the best.

Ryan can spoof it any way he likes the GP won't achieve 1 million or 950.000 for that matter

Coal to Oil..... How is that better? is it going to be fuled with 100% bio-oil / Bio-diesel ? 🤦‍♀️🤷

What a dipstick

No doubt the oil will be easily sourced as the supply is so plentiful at the moment.

Is he talking about e-scooters?

BIK for me on my company car is more than doubling and that’s moving from diesel to hybrid. EV’s losing all tax breaks over three years. GP are a fraud. Bullshit polices that do the exact opposite of what they claim.

Would be even better if all of those muppets would address the cost of living and also build afew houses for all of the Irish homeless never mind electric cars on the road !

Saying things is like water off a ducks back. housing homeless two things worth saying action required . Go green teadrinkers action not waffle of the great leader so much acionless activity

Against nuclear power stations but no problem importing nuclear generated electricity. Against a LNG storage facility but no problem importing fracked gas through UK gas pipeline.

Can we have houses built, electric cars are a luxury most people cannot afford. Wise up and do something constructive about the people who are waiting on a home.
