Looks like the Polestar 3 is going to cost more than we thought... 2023's new aero-SUV will be priced from £79,845 for the lower-powered 483bhp model, according to an early leak of UK pricing ⚡️

Polestar 3 360kWYou read those power outputs right: the Polestar 3 will be a premium, powerful EV – boasting a choice of 483bhp or 510bhp electric motors. The residual values industry approves, suggesting the SUV will retain 60% of its value after three years or 30,000 miles., powered by LIDAR sensors and an NVIDIA chipset. It’ll ship with a dual-motor powertrain at launch, with a range target of 360-miles WLTP.

The Swedish group has leaped in bed fully with Google, consigning its inhouse infotainment systems to the scrapheap. Our experience so far suggests this is A Good Thing.Polestar is just the latest brand to target the highly popular – and profitable – electric SUV sector, and the 3 will therefore be instrumental in taking the brand to a new level.

Earlier this year, Polestar announced plans to float on the Nasdaq stock exchange, in a deal that values the Swedish firm at around $20 billion. The funding raised will help finance the next three models waiting in the wings, as it aims to increase annual production tenfold from 29,000 forecast for 2021 to 290,000 by 2025.

PolestarCars New cars ALWAYS cost more than the motoring press think/say. Presumably it’s driven by the manufacturers making statements they can’t fulfill during development to keep people on the hook for longer but it’s a tedious and predictable game.
