EVs are here to stay I think. They are just a better driving experience and cheaper to own. The range issues are already squared away for 95% of people. My next car will almost certainly be an EV and it has zero to do with climate

They still use oil and plastic. The factories that make the batteries use more fuel than a regular car. Those batteries are toxic and cannot be disposes of, so its bot helping.
They will, a good sign is when conventional manufacturers start joining in. EVs have gone mainstream regardless of what happens to Tesla although it's unlikely to go bankrupt

Oh we will...but we won't run them on batteries. Batteries are too expensive, lacking in energy density compared to liquid fuels like Hydrogen, too heavy, the infrastructure required to charge will top trillions of dollars worldwide and push smaller operators out of the market.

I think that the luxury car market is what is keeping electric cars as an expensive gimmick with no actual option to purchase a 'normal' car. They should be cheaper, yet they're more expensive. The used market, now it's coming to fruition is very interesting however.
